A friend pulled up okra plants that were planted too close together, so my son transplanted them.
The plants grow similarly to traditional okra plants, but more straight up, with less side branching.
Besides the pods, the leaves of the okra plant are, at times, cooked as greens and the dried seeds can be utilized as an alternative to dried beans.
