Under new chief executive Geraint Anderson, the Surrey-based company has embarked on a three-tofive-year plan to take the company from an overreliance on car makers and low-margin work to a focus on more stable industries, such as defence and healthcare.
In 2007, through its departmentwide barrier analysis, DHS identified four barriers: (1) overreliance on the Internet to recruit applicants, (2) overreliance on noncompetitive hiring authorities, (3) lack of recruitment initiatives that were directed at Hispanics in several components, and (4) nondiverse interview panels.
Tory leader Annabel Goldie said the figures reflected "a wasted decade", adding: "The attempts of the last decade to merely manage the problem, based on harm reduction and an overreliance on methadone, have simply not worked.
