The lesions began as individual red papules and progressed into confluent papulovesicles and plaques, spreading to the areas not covered by her clothing and spared photoprotected sites, such as the left wrist that had been covered by a watch (Figure 2). Photoallergic reactions show a delayed onset of redness, infiltration, papulovesicles followed by an increasing (crescendo pattern) of these changes (more redness, and increased papules and vesicles).
