The upper middle lobe of each cerebral hemisphere, located above the temporal lobe. Complex sensory information from the body is processed in the parietal lobe, which also controls the ability to understand language.

Spatially, these comprise the frontal lobe, parietal lobe (at the top rear of the head), temporal lobe (above and behind the ears), and occipital lobe (at the back of the head), with the brain stem below the occipital lobe.
This area, called the parietal lobe, is believed to be responsible for collecting information from the senses.
