Any of several Chinese deciduous trees of the genus Paulownia, having large, heart-shaped, opposite leaves and pyramidal panicles of purplish or white flowers with a spotted interior. Also called princess tree.

Paulownia wood is a flexible durable, lightweight chain that is commonly used as a material in high-end custom guitar body, is used for its light, looks pale, and its resonant properties, it is much appreciated.
I am always on the lookout for flowers and plants with beautiful colours and interesting shapes, like the lovely mature Empress Paulownia tree, which gives incredible purple blooms each spring.
Floor and ceiling are seamlessly lined with warm, honey-coloured paulownia wood, so it's a bit like being in a reassuring timber womb, albeit with views of the surrounding forest through the full-height glazed walls.
