Close in behind him is Churchtown Boy, The Pilgarlic is about six lengths away, then comes the mare Eyecatcher, then What A Buck, Happy Ranger, Forest King and Carroll Street - they're virtually the only ones left in the 1977 Grand National.
The Pilgarlic, which he had beaten 48 lengths the year before, was only beaten three or four lengths in the race.
