The pitch shot is a superb example of the balance necessary in golf as both a physical and mental sport and every pitch shot you take needs to be planned very carefully.
It may be their pre-shot routine, or slightly different pitch shot, or putting stance, or whatever.
I don't think that Paddy would have hit the pitch shot that way if he was able to take his time, but he was on the clock, had to get up there quickly and hit it.
