One of the defendants, Jerry Jackson, is an elected member of Philadelphia's 14th Ward Democratic Committee and was a credentialed poll watcher for the Democratic Party last Election Day.
We watched as voter ID's are verified and announced at each voting room; saw them checked again by all the poll watchers against their copy of the Master List of Registered Voters who were allowed to cast ballots at their sites.
