Having entertained the possibility of doing away with observation there is, nevertheless, significant evidence to support its value for learning to teach in practice teaching (Buchmann, 1989; Guyton & McIntyre, 1990; Mazor, 2003; Weade & Everston, 1991).
Beckett (2) found that either the practice or inclusion style is appropriate for motor skill acquisition and improvement; however, learners who receive instructions in the inclusion teaching style improve their soccer juggling skill and have higher scores in the knowledge test than those who practice within the settings of the practice teaching style.
LITERATURE REVIEW The research related to this article falls into five general categories: (a) 21st-century learners (of which gifted students are a subset) and learner outcomes, (b) student learning and best practice teaching strategies in gifted education, (c) professional development, and (d) the political context of reform.
