Built on the Isle of Wight, the Princess Royal began her service in Hartlepool in October 1939.
She was given a third injection of the cervical cancer vaccine almost six months ago and was initially taken to Telford's Princess Royal Hospital after collapsing at her home.
But the hunt for the 29-year-old - which involved more than 50 police officers, a helicopter and several dogs - was called off when she walked into the A&E unit of the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, Shropshire.
