Wade in 1973 establishing safe and legal abortion as a constitutionally protected right of privacy, the pro-choice and pro-life factions, until recently, have existed as warring camps with no suggestion on either side that the twain should ever meet.
I am certain that there would be an immediate and significant drop in the rate of abortions if the pro-life faction pushed for some type of legislation that dictated a monetary or legal consequence for any male engaging in unprotected sex that results in a pregnancy.
