In both instances, pruno (also known as prison wine, jailhouse hooch, juice, or brew) was found to be the cause of foodborne botulism in these patients.
Trust me, I'm done with the pills and the pruno and back on the straight; it was a simple New Year folly.
If we really want safer inmates, and a safer society, we must eliminate the overcrowding illustrated in the picture that accompanied the pruno article.
