James Laidler, of East Acres, Widdrington near Morpeth, was push-starting two teenage girls in a cage which formed part of 'Swinging Gyms' ride at the fair at Killies Draughts, Eyemouth, Berwickshire, when he lost his footing and slipped.
It involved him push-starting a rocking cage which the occupants were then meant to keep going using their own momentum.
