Chris Galvin from Allerton kindly sent me this week's shot of a female black cap dining on pyracanth us berries against his sheltered garden wall.
Against walls: Wall shrubs including pyracanth a or ornamental quince can be trained and get less out of control than some vigorous climbers.
With eye-catching fruits from autumn into winter, pyracanth as are effective as a single bush, a wall-trained shrub, or a hedge.
