Following an introduction describing the study and a description of nuclear medicine and the use of nuclear medicine imaging, the report analyzes and offers recommendations on areas that include targeted radionuclide therapy, the availability of radionuclides for research, and radiotracer and radiopharmaceutical chemistry.
Tokyo, Japan, Oct 5, 2005 - (JCNN) - Nihon Medi-Physics announced on September 28 that it has begun supplying FDG Scan Injection (fludeoxyglucose F-18), its proprietary radiopharmaceutical for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, to medical institutions on September 16.
Deviations from the QS regulation cited in the production of radiopharmaceutical products included failure to establish written procedures to prevent micro-biological contamination of sterile products; SOPs that failed to assure product conformity to standards for identity, quality, strength and purity; and lack of training for operators conducting visual product examination.
