In Liverpool, the council's entire refuse collecting workforce was made redundant before many of them were re-employed by Onyx UK Ltd on what they say were ``less favourable'' terms than before.
Of the 122 former council workers involved in the case, 119 were re-employed by Onyx and three lost their jobs altogether.
For them, the proportion re-employed (52 percent) was higher than for blacks but considerably lower than for whites.
