[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] BASF Automotive Refinish Solutions has signed a multi-year agreement with Chip Foose, well-known automotive and product designer, to promote its waterborne automotive refinishes and to develop a new line of automotive refinish colors under the Foose name.
This acquisition will strengthen the fast growing Akzo Nobel car refinishes activities in Central and Eastern Europe, a strategic growth area," said Cor de Grauw, general manager of the Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes unit.
The current market demand in terms of volume for global automotive refinishes is approximately 138 million gallons.
