Is it the circumstance of being able and willing to resist temptation; or that of having no temptations to resist?
I can't resist them as I ought, if I go back again, and hear your aunt saying what she has been saying for the last half hour and more.
Once or twice as I stood waiting there for things to accomplish themselves, I could not resist an impulse to laugh at my miserable quandary.
