Byline: ALAN WESTON ACAMPAIGNER who climbed on top of a demolition-threatened rollercoaster was the first to take a ride when it re-opened for business.
The double-loop rollercoaster was first unveiled before a 30,000-strong crowd back in April 1980, and Alton Towers divisional director Russell Barnes said it had played a key part in the heritage of the theme park.
Not only is it a great choice for fans of the comic books, but a terrific theme park in its own right for those who love big rollercoasters and thrills while in France.
