n.1.(Min.) Realgar; red sulphide of arsenic.
2.(Bot. Chem.) A white or yellow resin obtained from a Barbary tree (Callitris quadrivalvis or Thuya articulata), and pulverized for pounce; - probably so called from a resemblance to the mineral.
