Briefly, using a Zeiss (Thornwood, New York) operating microscope, we made a 3 mm sclerotomy ~7 mm posterior to the limbus and then performed a partial vitrectomy.
Chapters include descriptions of lens extraction, anterior ciliary sclerotomy, laser reversal, expansion bands, conductive keratoplasty, intracorneal inlay, and LASIK.
Other surgical techniques, such as anterior ciliary sclerotomy and laser presbyopia reversal, use incisions inside the eye to tighten lax muscles.
