Last month, EEC said it had agreed to set up a firm with Saudi Binladin Group to finance, develop and operate a major port on the Red Sea coast which will cost over SR4 billion, and is expected to start operation in 2012.
Most of the revenue was from the sale of 81 apartments in the Santa Marina gated holiday apartments complex near Sozopol on the Black Sea coast and the St Ivan Rilski holiday apartments complex near the mountain resort of Bansko.
Saudi-based Emaar Economic City, which is leading the development of King Abdullah Economic City on the Saudi Red Sea coast, has signed a deal with Saudi Binladin Group to finance, develop and operate a major port on the Red Sea coast.
