The Togo-flagged Lebanese-owned cargo ship MV Sea Horse, captured a week ago while on its way to pick up food for the World Food Programme (WFP), was released on Friday, a spokesman for the UN agency told AFP.
The capture of the Greek-owned MV Irene EM and Togo-flagged MV Sea Horse were a sign the sea gangs have not been deterred by two raids in recent days, in which US and French special forces have killed five pirates.
It was not known exactly how many crew the Sea Horse had on board.
