Cold water does help to create shinier hair, because it helps close the cuticle layer of the strand after washing and therefore boosts the effect of conditioner.
It doesn't seem to have got much better ( I still look at other people's lives and assume they are more sorted, more fulfilling, more relaxed and generally shinier than my own.
