It all started in the 1930's back at the old shoe shop Leonards when Christine's (the owner of Wards Shoes) parents met.
Other readers remembered Hinton's Corner with the coffee shop upstairs and the shoe shop on the opposite corner, on the right in this picture, was Freeman Hardy and Willis.
