More experienced users can choose their settings with additional shooting modes such as Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority.
And the shutter priority mode lets you choose the shutter speed.
Set the camera to shutter priority mode and the shutter speed to 1/1000 (fortunately in the Caribbean there is usually ample brightness while shooting and a fast shutter speed is easy to maintain).
