The Steel Band at Kingsmeadow Community School in Dunston have wowed audiences with their skills on the Trinidadian steel pans.
The combination of thick hot-forged bases, that ensure even heat distribution on all hob types, with quality stainless steel pans which are mirror finished makes these highperformance pans.
The second concert, on March 17, is the Lord Mayor's Charity Spring Showcase, which will feature nine different county ensembles, including the Transitional Orchestra, Wind Band and Brass Band, Intermediate Percussion Group, High Schools' Brass Band, the Youth Choir and Wind Band, the Senior Guitar Ensemble and Steel Pans.
