23 October 2009 - Cargill Texturizing Solutions, a Cargill food ingredient business, is planning to invest 2 million euro over the next 2 years in the modernisation of its xanthan gum and carrageenan facility located in Baupte, France.
Mike Jones, EMEA category manager for convenience, Cargill Texturizing Solutions, said: "This is a convenient and cost-effective solution for flavour houses as well as for functional foods producers.
These wheat proteins demonstrate texturizing functionalities that can be used in various emulsified or aerated products and also contain nutritional properties.
