The workpiece materials covered are the most commonly used grades of carbon, alloy, stainless, and tool steels and the cutting tool materials are high- speed steels, cemented carbides, cermets, ceramics, and polycrystalline cubic boron nitride.
Made from T-15 tool steel and TiN coated for added lubricity, the blades are capable of cutting stainless steels, P-91, and other hard materials.
For that, steel leavened with cobalt or tungsten may be necessary, which creates a tough steel called tool steel.
