WHILST it is amusing that a group of trainspotters could double the annual passenger numbers at a railway station in a single day, this story also highlights another absurdity of our rail network.
CLAIMS that trainspotters could be banned from major railway stations because they pose a "security risk" were denied by rail chiefs today.
