In August the Ukes proved just that when they made their first visit to the BBC Proms and invited other ukelele players to join them at the Royal Albert Hall for a mass rendition of Beethoven's Ode To Joy.
He said: "Some years later, George rang me and said Paul McCartney had visited him over the weekend, had been playing the ukes, and asked if he could have the one I had sold him.
He describes specific areas of the UKEs curriculum and gives suggestions for them; explains the 20 main skills of information literacy (questions, problem solving, skimming and scanning, and citing sources, for example) with curriculum examples and teaching tips; and provides strategies for school implementation.
