Told in flashback by one of the family's relatives (Christopher Lee), the ginger beer and hockey sticks characters are singularly unlikeable, while the story becomes less and less believable as a half-baked Hitchcockian plot kicks in.
I had an all-day, medium-sized breakfast which included a fried egg (the best bit), bacon, beans, half of a disappointing tomato and two cheap but not unlikeable sausages.
This was probably partly because it was full of unlikeable characters - led by the bullying, belligerent, bombastic and bearded buffoon of a Uni vice-chancellor, Jonty de Wolfe (Andy Nyman).
