Narration or dialogue, as in a movie, commercial, or documentary, spoken by an unseen narrator or an onscreen character not seen speaking: a character whose thoughts were revealed in a voice-over.
(Broadcasting) the voice of an unseen commentator heard during a film, television programme, etc
1. the voice of an offscreen narrator, announcer, or the like, in television or motion pictures.
2. a televised sequence, as in a commercial, narrated by voice-over.
