Byline: ANI London, October 13 (ANI): Two independent scientific teams have found what may be the first direct evidence of water ice on the surface of an asteroid, a discovery that lends support to the idea that asteroids could have helped deliver water to the early Earth.
It is believed water ice could lie at the bottom of dark craters at the Moon's poles, where temperatures are below minus 170C.
NASA will impact the moon with a rocket on Friday to confirm or deny the existence of water ice which scientists think exists on billions of gallons but haven't been able to prove it.
