The plans have been tested by hydraulics experts in Copenhagen, using computer simulation and wave tank modelling.
Their topics include two-dimensional nonlinear numerical wave tanks, using the finite element method on free surface flow, cylinders in steady and oscillatory flow, computing wave effects using the panel method, the numerical computation of riser dynamics, a hybrid numerical method for wave-multi-body interaction, hydro-elastic interaction, and the coupled analysis of offshore floating systems.
