Mark says: "For toothpaste I use cuttlefish bone I found washed up on the beach mixed with wild fennel seeds.
You will find few meals that do not incorporate wild fennel and sheep''s milk as well.
Local specialities include Pasta con le Sarde-pasta with sardines and wild fennel and pesce spada alla ghiotta-swordfish cooked in onion and tomato sauce.
