Adams Walter Sydney
Ad·ams(ăd′əmz), Walter Sydney 1876-1956.
American astronomer who in 1915 discovered the first white dwarf star. He demonstrated that the essential brightness of a star could be calculated by studying its spectrum and introduced a method for estimating the distance of stars based on their brightness.
