En la ecorregion Morrosquillo se registraron 10 familias de las cuales Panopeidae presento el mayor numero de especies (8), seguida de Alpheidae (5), luego Porcellanidae y Pilumnidae (4), mientras Diogenidae y Pisidae registraron solamente una especie (Tabla 3); en esta ecorregion se registraron seis nuevas especies; Periclimenes longicaudatus, Hippolyte curacaoensis, Acanthonyx petiverii, Epialtus bituberculatus, Microphrys bicornutus y Lautreutes parvulus.
