He is wrong, incidentally, in applying the dactyl/spondee pattern to the refrain that follows the end of each of these hexametric lines: this refrain, read here as 'Ut preclues celos colentes', can perhaps be thought of as an iambic pendant which with the hexameters creates an Archilochian pattern in the poem as a whole.
