More recently, this ichnogenus was used to define Arthropleuridae trackways from lacustrine facies of the French and German Upper Carboniferous/Lower Permian (Briggs and Almond 1984; Walter 1988, Schneider and Werneburg 1998) which are quite different from those that we described here.
