1. A nearly thornless evergreen tree (Citrus latifolia), possibly of hybrid origin, having leathery leaves and fragrant white flowers, and widely cultivated for its edible fruit.
2. The usually seedless oval fruit of this plant, having a green rind and acid juice used as flavoring. In both senses also called Tahiti lime.
