It is in this scenario of changes in medical education that the medicine course of the Cajazeiras campus of Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (state of Paraiba, Northeastern Brazil) is created in 2007, incorporating the National Curricular Guidelines (DCN) modified in 2001.
