Gels were stained with Coomassie blue R-250 (0.3% w/v) in 50% methanol and 7.5% acetic acid overnight and destained with solution having 30% methanol, 7.5% acetic acid.
The gels were placed in a Coomassie brilliant blue G-250 solution consisting of 0.12% G-250, 10% [(N[H.sub.4].sub.2]S[O.sub.4], 10% [H.sub.3]P[O.sub.4], 20% methanol (Candiano et al., 2004).
