crystal system

n
(Chemistry) crystallog any of six, or sometimes seven, classifications of crystals depending on their symmetry. The classes are cubic, tetragonal, hexagonal, orthorhombic, monoclinic, and triclinic. Sometimes an additional system, trigonal, is distinguished, although this is usually included in the hexagonal system. See also crystal class

Crystallographic analysis via the X-ray single-crystal diffraction reveals that compound 1 locates in the monoclinic crystal system and [P2.sub.1]/c space group and shows a three-dimensional channel-type framework.
The structures of the matrix and column vector boundary condition in case of bulk orthorhombic, hexagonal, and tetragonal crystal system having second-order axis of symmetry and heterogeneity along the z-axis are given by
UR normally has a tetragonal crystal system but as a polymorph it has a hexagonal crystal system [13,14].
It has been shown that ice [I.sub.h] has the space group P[6.sub.3/mmc in the hexagonal crystal system (Table SBI) (Hobbs 1974), where P means that it has a primitive unit cell, [6.sub.3] indicates the presence of a sixfold screw axis (rotation around an axis in addition to a translation along the axis), m indicates a mirror plane (reflection), and c indicates glide planes (a translation and a reflection) (Hobbs 1974).
These etch features can provide clues to a rough gem's identity by revealing symmetry information that corresponds to the crystal system in which the specimen belongs (e.g.
He has remixed Mystery Jets, Passion Pit, Katy B and more and has forthcoming remixes for Bobby Brackins on Boys Noize, Cause & Affect plus new project, The Crystal System, working with Azari and III vocalists SYF and Fritz Helder.
Complex 5 crystallizes in a monoclinic crystal system; crystallographic parameters and details of the diffraction experiment are given in Table 1.
Morpholinium tartrate is crystallized in noncentrosymmetric crystal system. Nonlinear polarization of morpholinium tartrate is the origin of SHG efficiency.
It was the only one cubic crystal system of the AgSb[S.sub.2] phase [5] with no impurity detection.
