Delphinoidea, especially closely related species, are challenging to distinguish from one another acoustically, and few studies have directly explored inter-specific variation (Steiner, 1981; Miller et al, 1995; Rendell et al, 1999; Baron et al, 2008; Gannier et al, 2010).
