A total of 19,880 birds representing 112 species were collected, with the top five species including Ovenbirds (Seiurus aurocapillus), Red-eyed vireo (Vireo olivaceus) and three warblers [Tennessee (Vermivora peregrina), Magnolia (Dendroica magnolia) and Black-and-White (Mniotilta varia)] (ABC 2000).
With respect to species with fewer than 20 detections overall, magnolia warbler (Dendroica magnolia), an edge-species, was significantly more common in main stem than tributary sites.
