Of beetles I collected twenty-five species (excluding a Dermestes
and Corynetes imported, wherever a ship touches); of these, two belong to the Harpalidae, two to the Hydrophilidae, nine to three families of the Heteromera, and the remaining twelve to as many different families.
Overall, 28.2% of the of the specimens were identified at the species level, and they included Chrysomya albiceps (Wiedmann, 1819), Dermestes
frischii (Kugelan, 1792), Necrobia rufipes (De Geer, 1775), and Creophilus maxillosus (Linnaeus, 1758).
Insect hormones and bioanalogues: their effect on respiratory metabolism in Dermestes
The effectiveness of Piper guineense and Capsicum annum in prevention of Dermestes
maculatus infestation on sundried catfish, Clarias gariepinus was studied.
demonstrated that the EO extracted from Perilla frutescens (Lamiaceae), which caused high fumigation mortality against either adults ([LC.sub.50] = 0.06), larvae ([LC.sub.50] = 0.09), pupae ([LC.sub.50] = 0.16), and eggs ([LC.sub.50] = 0.10) of Dermestes
maculatus (De Geer) (Coleoptera: Dermestidae), increased from 3 to 6 times its effectiveness when combined with 25% or 60% of CO2, respectively.
Effects of temperature and intraspecific interaction on the development of Dermestes
maculatus (Coleoptera: Dermestidae).
Later, skulls were extracted and cleaned by Dermestes

Para retirar los musculos y dejar expuesto y limpio el craneo para las mediciones se utilizo la tecnica de los insectos saprofitos dermestidos, Dermestes
