Fruit pricker

Fruit pricker

A fruit canning accessory that consisted of a base with several needle-like points sticking up from it (e.g. a board with sharpened nails driven through it) that was used to break the skin of fruit such as plums so that, if they were canned without peeling, the skin would not burst during the canning process.
