 (go͝od′n-ôf′, gŏd′-, gə-do͞o-nôf′), Boris Fyodorovich 1551?-1605.
Czar of Russia (1598-1605) who became regent for Fyodor I (1557-1598) on the death of Ivan IV (1584) and was chosen czar on Fyodor's death. His reign was marked by the colonization of Siberia and the reclamation of land in Sweden.
