Shield-stage (~6 hpf) embryos were exposed to 0, 0.0625, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, or 1 ng/mL TCDD (311 nM, 95.3% purity; SUPELCO Solutions Within) or vehicle (0.1% DMSO) with gentle rocking for 1 h in 20-mL glass vials (10 embryos/mL).
To examine the development of the nervous system, we collected samples at the following stages: blastula (16 hpf): early, middle, and late trochophore (18 and 22 hpf, 28 hpf, and 32-36 hpf.
Samples of larvae for description of embryonic development were taken after fertilization; every 15 min during the first 1 h, every 30 min in the first 13 h, then every hour up to 24 hpf. Samples of larvae were, thereafter, taken daily through to settlement.
11 of 13 cases had a mitotic index of [less than or equal to] 1 mitosis/50 HPF, and all cases had a mitotic count [less than or equal to] 4 mitoses/50 HPF.
Some authors suggest a value as low as at 6 eosinophils per HPF [15], some 15 to 20 [2, 16], some 30 [17], and some 50 [18].
Cytological evaluation: All the slides were blindly evaluated by selecting ten high power field (HPF) to determine the total cellularity of endometrial cells (epithelial cells and PMN) and cellular morphology (Percentage of intact and distorted cells).
Block diagrams of controlled limiter using: a--logarithmic amplifier: b--constant displacement; c--sample-and-hold device; 1--input voltage protection; 2--electronic multiplier; 3--low pass filter (LPF); 4--high pass filter (HPF); 5--sample-and-hold device; 6--controlled limiter.
The current patient was in the intermediate risk group with 1-4 mitosis per 50 HPF. Imatinib, a selective protein tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has been demonstrated to be an effective treatment for GISTs and EGISTs.
Newly-hatched larvae (57 hpf; 28.5[degrees]C) were randomized and exposed in 20 mL glass vials to C-9500A concentration ranging from 0 ppm to 200 ppm (n=6 vials per exposure concentration, 10 larvae per vial), which were produced by serial dilution.
Mitoses are rare, usually fewer than 5 per 10 high-power fields (HPF) (Figure, A).
Routine blood counts, urine analysis were done for all patients and those showing pus cells >5 per HPF in centrifuged urine sample were taken as study group and urine culture sensitivity were done.
For HPF, the entropy is decreased to 4.6, that means the original image has lost some information because the entropy of original image after grayscale conversion came out to be near 5.
